Premium Plus TM Directions
Caulk all framing abutments, window and door
placements. Seal, or fill with acceptable fire-stopping
material, any areas that cannot be adequately reached
with pneumatic fill of Premium Plus TM Side Wall Spray
Insulation. Install the Premium Plus TM Insulation into
stud cavities open on one side using specified pneumatic
equipment fitted with an auxiliary water line designed to
uniformly add water to the adhesive-enhanced mineral
fiber at the blower nozzle so as to assure delivered
moisture content of 10% minimum-20% maximum.

Begin installation at lower plate and apply to all corners
of the cavity, then fill entire cavity spraying up and down
until filled. Sequence throughout building until all
specified cavities are filled.

Components - The Premium Plus TM Insulation system
incorporates a specially formulated adhesive-enhanced
mineral wool insulation and water introduced at the
pneumatic nozel head to ensure 10% minimum-
20% maximum moisture content at the point of
installation. Preliminary caulking and sealing of areas
not reachable by pneumatic installation is required.
Premium Plus TM Equipment
Blowing machine used shall be a Champion, Capitol or equivalent with adjustable gate and air valve, capable of installing material at 48 lb./min. Machine will be complete with 150’ of 3” hose and 50’ of 2-1/2” hose, and Premium Plus TM dispensing nozzles. Water pump shall be a Dynesco Model MP20, or approved equivalent, producing 70 to 100 psi output through a water line with 3/8” inside diameter, diverted at the end of the blowing hose by a Premium Plus TM spray attachment. Stud Scrubber/Wall Brush must be electrically powered (Encotec, IWS, etc.) Shoptype wet or dry vacuum system and plastic bags are used to clean up and remove excess mineral wool.
Premium Plus TM Design Considerations
The Premium Plus TM Insulation System must be installed in temperature and humidity conditions that enable activation of the adhesive binders followed by thorough drying of the installed insulation. Sprayed cavity must be dry before enclosing with gypsum wallboard. Generally 3-1/2” fills will be dry in less than 24 hours 8” fills can be dry in less than 48 hours. Allow extra time for low temperature or high humidity conditions. Consult an Amerrock sales representative for installation practices below 40 F.
